In Memory
JEAN COLETTA SAVITT 1947-2012
Gwin Reinhold and Gerri Coletta Greenwood have advised that Jean Coletta Savitt passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 after a five year battle with breast cancer which metastasized to her lungs the past 2 years. Jeannie wanted desperately to live for the family she was so lovingly devoted. In an effort to prolong her life she underwent many difficult and painful treatments, both in the medical and nontraditional treatment world, but sadly to no avail.
Jeannie experienced satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy in her life because of her beautiful family. She leaves behind her husband, Rick; daughter, Brandi; and son, Jason, and his wife and three sons. She was also devoted to her two sisters and their families. Jackie and Dee nurtured Jean with unflinching love and care until the end.
Gwin and Gerri noted….”she was a very loyal friend and cousin and our lives have personally been blessed because of her unconditional love for us.”
Jean's sister Jackie also sent a note: Jeannie, a spark of bright electric violet light, left this world much the way she inhabited it...completely on her own terms. She believed in love and family and friends, above all else. She did not believe in being defined by any illness, certainly none as base as cancer. As a result, her life was lived loving her husband, Rick, children, grandchildren and extended family with boundless energy and spirit. We are lost without her, but make no mistake, Jeannie never was and certainly is not at all gone from us.
Jean's address is 1828 Wakeman Ct., Wheaton, IL 60187-3741. The service will be held on September 22, 2012 in Wheaton, IL.
