Clifton Blackburn obituary, Lowgap, NCClifton Edwin Blackburn Jr., 75, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Autumn Care of Statesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Edwin Blackburn Sr., and Harriette Jane Luckhardt Blackburn. He leaves behind his daughters, Deanna Wise, Jane Harriette Davis, and Kelly Blackburn; four grandchildren, Courtney Evans, JuIiette Davis, Adela Davis, and Wyatt Davis; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Christine McCloskey, Patricia Blackburn, and Susan Blackburn. Clifton was born May 14, 1947, in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. As a young man, Clifton thrived in mathematics and on the wrestling mats. As an adult, he was an avid traveler, thrill seeker, and entrepreneur. After many years in the real estate industry, he became a business broker and proprietor of Paradigm Financial Group. Clifton loved his community and helping others. He was a Sunday school teacher at Mountain View Baptist Church, a member of the Surry Sunrise Rotary Club, and Carolina Virginia Business Broker Association, and served as a Guardian ad Litem. A service of worship and celebration of Clifton's life will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, will Paster Ewell Vernon officiating. Published by Mount Airy News from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28, 2023.
