Comments:

I retired from United States Public Health Service on February 1, 2017. Now I volunteer for the foundation which supports health equality among all of us in the world.

I specialized in women's health research and worked as a physician and research scientist in Bethesda, Maryland. I lead a research effort on primary ovarian insufficiency, a condition that causes infertility and symptoms of menopause in young women.

After receiving my Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973, I completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Southern California. I spent several years in private practice in Lynchburg, Virginia before returning to academia to complete a clinical research attachment at Hammersmith Hospital in London, a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at George Washington University, and a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, where I worked for 26 years.

In addition to an M.D., I hold an M.B.A. from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where I concentrated my studies on human resource management and the management of nonprofit organizations.

I am the author of more than 100 publications including the February 2009 New England Journal of Medicine article "Primary Ovarian Insufficiency" (formerly known as premature menopause or premature ovarian failure). In addition I edited numerous publications for other scientists. I was invited to give talks not only in US but also in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Canada, South and Central America.

School Story:

I was run out of town by the Ku Klux Klan in Elm City, NC in the summer of 1964. I was there as part of a summer work camp project organized by Southminster Presbyterian Church.

A poem for Susan, family, and friends of Dennis written on the occasion of our 60th year class reunion like no other!

Cedars Timeless
By William Brown, MD

Beneath the tall cedars and the vast, open skies,
Mount Lebanon, our beloved home, where dreams come true,
In shades of blue and gold, together we rise,
A shining place of splendor, courage, and virtue.

The class of '65, our bond forever strong,
In halls where laughter echoed, and friendships were made,
With memories of triumph, each story a song,
On fields of competition, our dreams never swayed.

We cheered for our heroes, like Dennis, who paved
The path for our futures with courage and heart,
Through triumphs and trials, our spirits braved,
In unity and pride, we're never apart.

So let our hearts always hold these moments dear,
Mount Lebanon, our guiding light, forever near.

I am spending most of the year in Lampang, Thailand living on a marriage visa with my Thai wife Nunee. We are in the US for the next several months and doing "The Great American Tour" in my 2019 Corvette Stingray convertible. We plan to attend the reunion. We build ancient wisdom heritage bridges for others to cross from East to West across the Pacific...

I recently shared my passion for a critical issue that's close to my heart: closing the gap between patients and healthcare providers, especially regarding women's hormonal health. At the Edge City Lanna pop-up village, I've connected with brilliant, open-minded individuals driven to create change through technology.

This immersive month is all about collaboration and innovation. Lanna is an experimentation lab that fosters new ideas, tech, and culture that accelerate human flourishing. It's an incredible opportunity to dive deep into our work, learn from experts across various fields, and incubate novel solutions for the future.

The Alt_ Ping River location is more than just a co-living and co-working space; it's a vibrant community of remote workers eager to learn and share experiences. Together, we're committed to making a positive impact!

Stay tuned as we continue this journey towards a healthier future for women everywhere! ??? #WomenHealth #TechForGood #ChiangMai #EdgeCityLanna #Innovation
