Comments:
1. Undergraduate degree from Penn State with BS in Chemical Engineering in 1970.
2.Worked for industry for a short time and moved to Minnesota.
3. Minnesota Pollution Control, 39 years, dealing primarily with industrial pollution control problems in water, air and solid and hazardous waste disposal. Worked on many interesting projects and look back on government work very positively.
4. Married the nicest and one the smartest women in Minnesota. She is a music teacher and performer.
5. Raised a really nice kid who is studying aerospace engineering at Iowa State. and likes acting and playing the trombone. My wife was the better influence on him.
6. Small time Landlord for almost 40 yrs. Can fix almost anything except a broken heart.
7. Backpacked in Rocky Mts. and many national parks in US and Canada: Thankful to still have some of those old friends and some new ones that like to do that.
8. Spent two summers in Alaska (1982 & 2012): Blessed with supervisor that would give me time off to do that and a wife who enjoys traveling and camping.
9. Canoed in Northern MN and Canada with family and friends.
10. Avid downhill skier: favorite ski areas are Alta and Sunlight (Utah) and Jackson Hole, Wy. Blessed to have a sister that lives there and a wife who loves to ski.
11. Enjoy playing tennis although must admit I'm getting a little rusty.
12. Had some fun sailing experiences on the Great Lakes and in the Gulf.
13. Motorcycled over much of the US and Canada.
14. Avid exercise nut. Exercise is the best stress reliever there is and keeps me generally healthy physically and mentally.
15. Sing tenor in a choral group and play guitar a little bit. It is said of Patty Connors (choral director) that she could make a rock sing.
16. Collector of toy trains: This is an early family influenced hobby. As a kid I was often pictured in the middle of the trains over the holidays. The influence here was my Dad.
School Story: I suppose the funniest story is discovering that I have been presumed dead for the last almost 40 years. Hey it is good to be alive!
Have a favorite school story? Funny memory? This can be used for anything you'd like to share.
